nucleus of stria medullaris ( STM )

The term nucleus of stria medullaris refers to a group of cells located adjacent to the stria medullaris of the thalamus at the boundary between the thalamus and the hypothalamus of the rat ( Swanson-2004 ) and the mouse ( Paxinos-2001 ).
