supraoptic decussations

The term supraoptic decussations refers to three hypothalamic fiber tracts that cross the midline in the hypothalamus dorsal to the optic chiasm. They include the anterior hypothalamic commissure, the dorsal supraoptic decussation and the ventral supraoptic decussation ( Carpenter-1983 ).
