striatopallidal system

The term striatopallidal system refers to a composite structure of the endbrain that is defined by connectivity and neurochemical staining. It is composed of the dorsal striatum, the dorsal pallidum, the ventral striatum and the ventral pallidum ( Heimer-1995 ).
