area 6 of Walker ( 6 )
The term area 6 of Walker refers to a subdivision of the frontal lobe of the macaque; it is defined on the basis of cytoarchitecture and myeloarchitecture. Walker's cortical map did not show the full extent of area 6 but located it as topologically homologous to the cytoarchitectonic area 6 of Brodmann (guenon) ( Walker-1940 ).
