medial blade of the dentate gyrus ( DNGmb )
The term medial blade of the dentate gyrus refers to one of three subdivisions of the dentate gyrus in the rat ( Swanson-2004 ) and the mouse ( Dong-2004 ). The other two are the lateral blade of the dentate gyrus and the crest of the dentate gyrus. Each of these subdivisions consists of the molecular layer of the dentate gyrus, the granular layer of the dentate gyrus, and the polymorphic layer of the dentate gyrus. Updated 30 May 2024.
