area a33' ( a33' )
The term area a33' refers to the part of the anterior midcingulate cortex that is located in the upper bank of the callosal sulcus where the anterior cingulate gyrus meets the corpus callosum. Defined on the basis of internal structure, it is bounded ventrally by the corpus callosum and dorsally by area a24a' ( Vogt-2012 ). It has no equivalent in the macaque, the rat or the mouse ( Vogt-2016 ).
