transverse orbital sulcus ( tos )
The term transverse orbital sulcus (tos) refers to a superficial feature of the orbital surface of the frontal lobe in the human. Identified by dissection, it is a groove that forms the crossbar of the H-shaped orbital sulci ( Szikla-1977 ). It is not found in the macaque or in the smooth cerebral cortex of the rat or mouse ( NeuroNames ).
