orbital gyri ( ORG )
The term orbital gyri (ORG) refers to a set of convolutions on the ventral surface of the frontal lobe (FLB) in primates. It is defined by topology ( Nomina-1983 ). In the human it consists of five gyri: the medial orbital gyrus (ORGm), the anterior orbital gyrus (ORGa), the posterior orbital gyrus (ORGp), the lateral orbital gyrus (ORGl), and the frontomarginal gyrus (ORGfm) ( Mai-1997 ). The macaque has the same, except that it lacks the ORGfm ( Martin-2000 ). Final 21 Jan 2025.
