anterodorsal preoptic nucleus

The term anterodorsal preoptic nucleus refers to a group of cells in the preoptic area of the mouse ( Paxinos-2001 ) and the rat ( Swanson-1998 ). Functionally it belongs to the hypothalamic periventricular region of the subcortical motor system ( Swanson-2004 ).
