ventral nucleus of stria terminalis

The term ventral nucleus of stria terminalis refers to a component of the nuclei of stria terminalis defined on the basis of topology, connectivity and multiple stains in the rat. It is one of nine components of the anterior nuclei of stria terminalis in the Functional CNS Model - Rat ( Swanson-2004 ).
