parastrial nucleus
The term parastrial nucleus refers to a group of cells ventromedial to the nuclei of stria terminalis in the mouse ( Paxinos-2001 ) and the rat ( Swanson-1998 ). Functionally it belongs to the hypothalamic periventricular region of the subcortical motor system ( Swanson-2004 ).
