supporting structures
The term supporting structures refers to tissues and fluid that surround or provide internal support to the brain (BRN) and spinal cord (SPC) of vertebrates. They include primarily the meninges (men), the subarachnoid space, the cerebral ventricles, the choroid plexus, and the central canal of the medulla and SPC ( Swanson-2015 )..
