posterodorsal preoptic nucleus
The term posterodorsal preoptic nucleus refers to a group of cells located between the medial preoptic nucleus and the nuclei of stria terminalis in the rat. Functionally it belongs to the hypothalamic periventricular region of the subcortical motor system ( Swanson-2004 ).
